Four looks Friday
When I create these looks each week they usually take me a few hours but this week they came to me fast. Which naturally made me overthink “well are they not good enough if I didn’t struggle as much to put them together?” I thought about this after the fact and I decided some of my favorite looks are the ones I just throw on in minutes and run out the door. Sometimes you don’t need to think so deeply about an outfit. If you love all the pieces in your closet then any outfit you put together should be things you love. Of course there are times when I want to spend a while really figuring out the layering of an outfit that is almost right but not quite right. I do this often but I think I just need to get better about trusting that if I put the outfit together and like it first try then I just need to go with it and not overthink it.
So, if you’re an over thinker and this resonates with you then I invite you to try this with me. Just go with your first try. Maybe not every time but sometimes. I think it is good practice in trusting your own style.
Look 1
If you haven’t heard of the brand 6397 I am here to tell you about them. This coat is by them and I am absolutely in love. I feel like a lot of their fabrics and silhouettes are inspired by vintage pieces which I naturally love. The fabrics are always such high quality and the pieces are so well made. So, I recently got this jacket and I felt like I wanted to style a little look with it so I added a sweet pink Soeur dress underneath. This jacket is very chunky and a little more masculine so I liked this balance of the delicate dress underneath. I added this blue sweater by buck mason just to add another color. I then added some more hardness to the outfit by adding darker accessories. The brown bag and the black Nomasei shoes. Then I of course added my thistles shades that I always wear.
Look 2

I’ve had this skirt for a while and I honestly don’t wear it often enough. It is by shushu tong who always makes incredible pieces with great printed fabric. This skirt reminds me of a vintage Prada skirt. I also love blue and brown together. It is my top favorite color combo which I feel like I speak about every week. I added a little navy tee and some red flats that I also never wear but they felt like a nice color to add. Then I added a white bag for more contrast. I also spoke about this on instagram but I am really loving these polo sunglasses. They’re just fun and sporty. They’re a nice change from the sunglasses I always wear which are usually just black and brown.
Look 3

This skirt is old bimba y Lola that I don’t often reach for but it’s such a fun piece. I added it with a vintage tee and I absolutely love the ketchup and mustard color combo. I don’t know what it is but i’m often drawn to it. Then I recently got a beautiful dress from sleeper and it came in this blue pouch that I immediately knew I was going to use as a clutch. Then I added my black flip flops that I’m realizing I seem to wear in every single one of these posts.
Look 4

I love wearing an oversized button down but I don’t usually wear it buttoned down so low and I kind of love it. It makes something that is usually more buttoned up (pun intended) a little more sexy. I added it with a little polka dot skirt that I had yet to wear and I added a brown belt just to add a little warmth. I then aded my summery little flats that I am still in love with. Simple and sweet.
Thank you for reading another “Four looks Friday” I so appreciate you being here. xx
